Terms for using Copia.

1. Agreement and scope

These Terms of Use govern your access to Copia on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, App Store distribution, the Copia website, purchases, updates, and related support material. Copia is developed and published by Viacheslav Shkliarov (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By downloading, installing, purchasing, accessing, or using Copia, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Copia.

The Privacy Policy explains how Copia handles information and forms part of these Terms where applicable.

2. What Copia does

Copia is a clipboard manager that can save text, links, images, files, notes, and related information; organize them into boards; search and preview saved items; synchronize through iCloud; share boards; keep local Mac clipboard history; and paste selected content into other apps.

Features and availability vary by device, operating system, permissions, and release version. Copia is not a guaranteed backup service. Keep separate copies of important information.

3. Licence to use Copia

Subject to these Terms, any applicable store or purchase terms, and payment where required, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Copia on devices you own or control.

You may not, except where applicable law expressly permits:

• copy, modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works from Copia;
• reverse engineer Copia or try to find or recreate its source code;
• rent, lease, resell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit Copia;
• remove copyright, trademark, licence, or attribution notices;
• bypass App Store, security, or access controls; or
• use Copia to violate law or another person’s rights.

4. Apple terms

Copia distributed through the App Store is also subject to Apple’s rules, Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, and the Apple Standard End User Licence Agreement, unless a custom end-user licence agreement is presented through the App Store.

Apple provides the App Store, iCloud, and other platform services. We are responsible for Copia, subject to the allocation of responsibility in Apple’s applicable terms.

5. App Store distribution and purchases

Copia is distributed through the App Store. Availability, price, included features, and payment terms are shown in the App Store before purchase or download.

Apple processes App Store transactions and associates them with your Apple Account under Apple’s applicable terms. Copia does not operate a separate account or purchase-validation service.

6. Prices, taxes, and refunds

Prices and taxes are shown before purchase and can change for future transactions. App Store transactions are processed by Apple.

Refunds, cancellations, and payment disputes are handled by the seller or platform that processed the transaction, subject to its buyer terms and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory cancellation, refund, warranty, or other consumer rights.

7. Your content and sharing responsibilities

You retain ownership of the content you save in Copia. You are responsible for having the right to copy, store, use, and share that content and for complying with law and third-party rights.

When you share a board, you choose to give its participants access to the board’s contents. Do not share confidential, unlawful, infringing, harmful, or abusive content. Copia does not monitor shared boards and is not responsible for what participants add, copy, change, or redistribute.

8. iCloud, devices, and data responsibility

Copia can use Apple’s iCloud service to store and synchronize your data. iCloud availability, storage, accounts, sharing, synchronization, and recovery are controlled by Apple and subject to Apple’s terms.

We do not have access to your private Copia library and cannot recover it for you. You are responsible for your Apple Account, device security, iCloud storage, exported backups, shared-board access, clipboard history, and the accuracy and legality of saved content.

9. Acceptable use and safety

You must use Copia only for lawful purposes. Do not use Copia to access, copy, store, transmit, or share content in violation of law, confidentiality duties, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, security rules, workplace policy, or another agreement that applies to you.

Clipboard content can contain passwords, authentication codes, personal data, private messages, financial information, or confidential work. Review what you save, share, export, or paste. Copia is not a password manager, secure vault, legal record system, or emergency service.

10. Third-party services and components

Copia relies on Apple and other service providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use their services.

References to operating systems, apps, products, services, and trademarks do not imply sponsorship or endorsement by their owners.

11. Ownership

Copia, its website, software, design, text, graphics, and other materials are owned by or licensed to the Copia developer and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant only the limited rights expressly stated above.

Sending material to support gives us permission to use it only as reasonably necessary to provide support, investigate the issue, secure Copia, and improve the product.

12. Updates and availability

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, pricing, compatibility, downloads, or support. We may release updates needed for security, compatibility, or correct operation. Older versions may stop working or may require an update.

We do not promise that Copia, iCloud synchronization, shared boards, App Store services, downloads, or every service Copia depends on will always be available.

13. Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Copia is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, capture or paste accuracy, synchronization, data preservation, availability, compatibility, security, or fitness for a particular purpose.

This section does not exclude warranties or remedies that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.

14. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit or opportunity, loss or disclosure of clipboard content, data loss or corruption, App Store transaction issues, or failures caused by devices, networks, iCloud, third-party software, or third-party services.

You remain entitled to any mandatory remedies available under the law that applies to you.

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Copia at any time and uninstall the apps. We may suspend downloads, support, or access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, misuse prevention, payment disputes, or discontinuation.

The licence ends if you materially breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability, and applicable law, will continue to apply.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Copia, its distribution, service providers, law, or business requirements. The current version and effective date will remain available at this URL. Where a change materially affects existing users, we will provide notice where reasonably required.

17. Applicable law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the Copia publisher is established, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or access to courts available under the law of their country of residence.
